Busy Day

Thursday's are usually working from home days and therefore allows me to relax at home and work more comfortably. This Thursday however was quite busy. First, I needed to unlock the phone I'm selling on EBay, required a walk in the freezing cold to the high street. Second, I decided to return the damaged Virgin HST. Hopefully the seller will send me another set or refund me. This has already cost me more than I bargained for. Thirdly, I've been charged £1.50 for receiving a text message from a service that I had not signed up for. Phoned up T-mobile and they can't do anything about it, but advised me on how to cancel my subscription from it. Fourthly, the boiler at the letted house packed up. I've put in enough money towards maintenance for that boiler that I could have bought a new one. Its not the ideal weather for tenants to be without hot water and heating. Enough is enough. Got a quote of £1100 to replace the existing one with a new Saunier Duval condensing boiler. So searched the web for prices. discounted heating had one for £742. Phoned Selco and the salesperson quoted me £500. Bargain I thought. Rushed over to Selco in Barking before it shut (8pm). Found out its not a Saunier Duval but some Biasi brand. Anyway, it should do the job so bought it. Hopefully it will be fitted by Saturday.

The Morning Post

8.20 am, the doolbell rings and the postman delivers a parcel....Took about 10 minutes to open as it was very well wrapped. Finally, the Virgin HST had arrived. The box looked in decent condition and the train looked spotless....until I took it out of the box and saw that there were dents on each of the motorised and non-motorised driving trailers. Gutted, broken!!! The seller never mentioned it in the item description and I didn't bother asking as it was a buy-it-now item. What now? I could keep it or return it?
The dents are probably not noticeable whilst the train is running but still why should I pay £55 for something which I'm not totally happy with.
